The Therapeutic Lens Photography is designed to meet the unique needs of children and families with special needs. Trained as a pediatric occupational therapist, Jenny possesses skills which set her apart from other photographers. She demonstrates an understanding of physical limitations, sensory processing difficulties and social interaction challenges. She understands the special circumstances surrounding families of children with special needs and knows how to build rapport without placing unrealistic demands in an unnatural environment.  

Individualized lifestyle photography sessions are offered in a comfortable setting for your child. Settings can include your family's home, your child's favorite playground, a local library or anywhere your child is comfortable!  Special occasion events are also welcomed- birthday parties, being discharged from the hospital, sporting events, etc.  Siblings, family members and furry friends are always a welcome addition!

A personalized interview is conducted with each family prior to photography sessions in order to gather valuable information about your family and any accommodations that may be beneficial in achieving a successful photo shoot. No flash photography is ever used and children will not be asked to remain seated in posed positions (unless specifically requested by the family). The ultimate goal is to capture natural moments of joy as they occur spontaneously through play and interaction with family members.

The Therapeutic Lens Photography also offers photography sessions for individuals without special needs.  Other offerings include family sessions, maternity/newborn sessions, engagement/wedding photography services, senior photos and professional headshots.  Please inquire for availability and pricing.
